Xian Lim has obtained his commercial pilot license just a few months after becoming a private pilot.

In an Instagram post on June 18, Lim shared a carousel that included his selfie in pilot uniform and group photos with members of the Pasay-based Topflite Academy by the school's plane, a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.

"CPL! Commercial Pilot License!" he wrote in the caption with an airplane emoji. "I still can’t believe it. Ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. This journey has truly been life-changing and I’m filled with gratitude. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa bilis ng mga pangyayari."

He thanked Topflite Academy for "believing in me and pushing me beyond what I thought was possible."

"Everything happened so fast, Pero you were there to guide me every moment, every step of the way!" he said.

Lim also thanked his captains for the guidance and dedication.

"Even when things get rough, you make sure we keep the fire burning," he said.

He then gave a shoutout to his flymates "for being there through every challenging maneuver, every 'bad' flight, and every failed exam."

"Having da best support group na magsasabing 'Kaya ‘yan', 'Bawi sa susunod', 'tara, review after class', 'tara, balikan Vigan', 'tara, pagusapan natin yan', makes all the difference in the world and an experience like no other," he said.

Lim acknowledged the long caption, noting he was just elated with his recent feat.

"Bakit ba ang haba ng caption? Lol. Masaya lang. Kakatapos lang ng checkride and adrenaline is still high," he said.

Lim noted that he also had coffee amid such a high, joking how CPL also means "Coffee Powered License."

"Waley. More ratings, more aircrafts, more challenges to come!" he said.

Addressing his followers, Lim said that his latest achievement is a reminder to himself and others that in chasing a dream, "nothing is impossible if you have the heart, the passion, and the right people around you."

"No matter how loud the world gets, sometimes all you need is one person, one crew, to tell you you’ve got what it takes," he added. "To everyone who has been following my aviation journey, maraming salamat! This is only the beginning. Let’s keep flying."

Lim first gave a glimpse into his aviation journey in September 2024. He has since been sharing photos and videos from his flights in the pilot's seat on Instagram.

He earned his epaulet, or stripes, in November 2024.

Lim is known for his roles in teleseryes like Katorse, My Binondo Girl, Hearts on Ice, and Love. Die. Repeat. as well as movies like The Reunion, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?, and Bride for Rent. He also served as the Filipino voice actor of the titular bear in Paddington and Paddington 2.

He made his directorial debut in Hello, Universe! in 2023. A year later, he wore the director hat again in Kuman Thong, which was produced by his girlfriend Iris Lee.
